1670 AM Gatineau Quebec recvd near Boston

Strong last night. Children's radio (songs sung by kids it sounded like)

>>CJEU is a Canadian radio station licensed to broadcast a French language children's radio format at AM 1670 in Gatineau, Quebec. The license is held by Fondation Radio-Enfant, a non-profit educational agency..Initially, CJEU played music mainly in French and sung by children.[4] Most of the music that is played, however, was not professionally recorded.
In late 2010, the station was renamed as Radio Oxygène, expanding its programming to include programs for teenagers and young adults.

Gatineau is nr Ottawa ON

I've heard they do make it out that way. One interesting thing about that station is that you NEVER know what you will hear on it. I keep it programmed into 2 radios for that reason. I've heard every thing from Christmas programmes from area scho0ls to goth rock. Gatineu is so close to Ottawa, it's part of the metro. Right across the river...and unlike (or like) Sarah Palin and Russia, I can see Gatineau from my house, and walk there in about half an hour. The transmitter is just north of Gatineau, right along highway 50, where it's shared with the new AM 1350.

Sometimes, it can be a really go0d station, other times, it's really for the small children. I like what they're doing and how they really do get small kids involved with creating and being on radio. Who knows, they may inspire some future radio talent.

Thanks for the tip, Raccoon!

Just caught it at 6PM here, March 9th; Grundig S450, barefoot. Way atop the canal/channel.
I only know about as much minimal ancestral French to go for maybe a whole day without incoherently starving in Nice or Tulle, but what was on the radio just before had to've been that station.

And wheee!! The logging on 1670 completes the AM frequency reception on each of the channels.

Thanx again, Raccoon. Bon soir and gracieux and trottier, lemieux and bourque!
