1680 Flip

Noticed that they're now promoting the new Christian talk format on 1680. Sounds as if Jim Franklin is the real voice behind the station. So, did his syndicated weekend deal die?

Would appear that some the more mainstream paid programming, e.g., Focus on the Family, will also find a home as will other programs from Moody radio. KRDU has long been a very profitable station and might have the most to lose. Patterson might take a few from KMJ in the afternoon, but otherwise, I'm not sure just what their target audience is, other than the evangelical crowd.

I listened in after reading this post and they said they are doing a "sampling" of the new programming on the air and that the main launch date is Sep 1, or next Thursday. Guess we will see, or hear then exactly what this new stations line-up will be.... ???

This will be just another station with an audience size measured in hundreds at a time! Just another wasted radio signal in the valley! Why bother listening at all to any radio? It just sucks everywhere! Why anyone would want to be in the radio business is a mystery to me because there is no ROI to be had unless your one of the top twenty ownership groups.
