Oh, and you haven't figured out what to do with 3-6 yet? And you NEVER talked to Larry Elder? And what about that LOCAL host you were aiming for?

And Still nothing at night?

What are you guys smoking at the CBS tower on the Miracle Mile??

It's the new alternative in California for capital punishment.

Death by:

1. Gas Chamber
2. Lethal Injection
3. 18 hours straight of Dr. Laura.

Just chose the "right thing"

I choose not to choose or add option #4 "None of the Above"

18 hours of Dr. Laura. What does CBS want to do, kill off their audience before the station's new format even get's started? The suicide hotline will be doing a brisk business after that.

I don't get it. The man was on KABC for 14 years in afternoon drive. He got ratings, maybe not the best, but I would guess they were consistent. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I have to agree CBS in LA is a complete joke. Absolute idiots in charge.

Gotta give credit where it's due. They've done the right thing at KRTH. Points off for JACK not having a real air staff and for AMP only having a few "live" dayparts though. They screwed the pooch with KFWB. Matter of fact, hiring David G. Hall to "program" KNX and KFWB really hurt both stations. He made changes seemingly to confuse and confound the audience. Now he's collecting a check at KABC. Don't know how much damage he can do there as Citadel can't really afford to pay for any real changes he'd like to make. Honestly though, we're not talking about real smart people when we speak of those running the whole industry into the ground.

i definitely hope they do just that,

they will regret not only the move, but the money they spent on the corniest spots possibly ever in radio.

Could this all be stunt? After 18 hours they announce "Due to popular demand, we are gonig back to all news" :)

Not a chance. The staff already has layoff notices. 29 people on the street because of management idiocy. For stockholders, millions in cash flow thrown away.
