1950 Broadcasting Yearbook

I discovered that I'm missing the page that had the "WA" and WB call letters.
I assume that the stations I'm missing would be WAIT and WBBM.
These are stations licensed to Chicago proper and not the suburbs.

WCBD-820 (shared hours, licensed to Zion, but listed under Chicago
WCFL-1000
WCRW-1240 (with a mighty 100 watts of power)
WEDC-1240 (Emil Denemark Cadillac)
WEFM-99.5
WEHS-FM 97.9 (a WHFC affiliate)
WENR-890 (shared hours) (American Broadcasting Co.)
WENR-FM 94.7
WFJL-FM 93.1 (Licensed to the Lewis College of Science and Technology.
WGES-1390
WGN-720
WGNB-98.7 (now WFMT of course)
WHFC-1450 (Cicero)
WIND-560
WJJD-1160 (The president of the station was Marshall Field)
WFMF-100-3 (Listed as a WJJD affiliate)
WLS-890 (Shared hours) (Prarie Farmer)
WMAQ-670
WMAQ-FM 101.1
WMBI-1110 (hours of operation protecting WBT and KFAB)
WMBI-FM 90.1
WMOR-FM 102.7 (Owned by Metropolitan Broadcasting of Chicago, studio at 188 W Randolph)
WOAK-FM 105.9 (General Manager was Bernard Jacobs, later with WFMT)
WSBC-1240 (Shared with WCRW and WEDC)
WXRT-FM 101.9 (a WSBC affiliate)

Of interest is WCHI-95.9 Chicago Heights, licensed to Anthony Santucci who later put WCGO-1600 on the air.

Hope you enjoy the list!

Wow!

Wow...thanks for sharing. Its a bit of a coincidence, I was composing/posting 1964 in a thread below...

Got your missing page right here. (It's page 129, which should be right on the back of page 130, which starts with WCBD.)

In any case -

WAAF 950 / WAAF-FM 93.9
WAIT 820
WBBM 780 / WBBM-FM 97.1
WBIK 96.3 (the Balaban & Katz FM that would go with WBKB-TV into CBS hands and become WBBM-FM a year or so later)
WBKB(TV) 4

are the missing stations.
