1961 WABC AIRCHECK

While I was going through a bunch of crap, I accidentally came upon a pretty long aircheck from the summer of 1961 of Scott Muni and the round mound of sound, Chuck Dunaway. It was about 6 months into WABC's top forty format and the station sounded much different than what it evolved into two to three years later. There were many Paul Anka Freedomland commmercials and Scottso was playing such songs as I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door by Eddie Hodges and some nonrock song by Teresa Brewer. I know there are very few airchecks of Scott Muni and Chuck Dunaway on WABC. I thought it was interesting. I also found a 1963 aircheck of Dan Ingram that was made by a consultant back then that nobody has heard either.

Radio Truth - I suggest that you contact Johnny Donovan or Rob Frankel that you have these airchecks. They would likely want to use it for the next WABC Rewound on Memorial Day. This may be the only Scott Muni aircheck around.
