Dave being fired---read whole story under Oxford radio .......

Those of us who were within earshot of WTUE, "The Rock Of Dayton", were fortunate. We had great Top 40 radio on FM and in stereo to boot. Not many markets were that blessed in 1971. It was a sad day around 1975 when their on-air morale started fading fast...it was like the jocks no longer cared (they must have known what was coming). Next thing I knew, T-105 had taken over & the excellence that was the Rock Of Dayton was in the past. For all who participated in those days at WTUE (yes, that includes you Jason "Baby" Roberts), thanks for the great radio...it lives on in my memories today.Jason Roberts said:anti-em said:Puker
Yeah. You're right. He was, by today's standards...a puker.
But, if I had to list the number of Dayton jocks of that particular period of time who were "pukers", it would be a pretty large list. (Shall we mention "Sean McKay", who couldn't start a break without saying "W-T-U-E, Most Music Radio, I'm Sean McKay...")
The times were different...and radio was different then. You shouldn't attempt to apply today's standards to jocks from almost 40 years ago.
Dave garnered some pretty good numbers on WTUE. WTUE was far more of a "rock" station then than WING was at that time, which was how they made their mark and began to move the "rock and roll" audience toward FM in Dayton.
Jason Roberts and Jason "Baby" Roberts were two air name variations of the same person.Radio Fish Heads said:I'm confused ? Is Jason Roberts and Jason Baby Roberts the same person ?
