1970s WPEN oldies DJ Geoff Fox

Sorry to share the sad news that Geoff (best remembered as the morning man during much of 95PEN's oldies era) passed away overnight after a long, brave battle with pancreatic cancer. After leaving WPEN when the station shifted to MOR, he moved on to prominent TV gigs: co-hosting Buffalo's local edition of PM Magazine and as the weathercaster for WTNH channel 8 New Haven, which led to occasional gigs filling on ABC's Good Morning America.

So sad. So much enjoyed Geoff on PEN

Sad news. Read it on CT Insider today. He was very popular there as a tv weatherman. He came to Philadelphia in 1975 from Phoenix as one of the 6 personalities WPEN brought in from other markets for the new oldies format. He first hosted 6-10 pm. I remember on his first show he came out of his first record and said “How am I doing so far”! He moved to 6 to 10 am when Loren Owens left (and became a legend in Boston morning radio). Geoff was best known for his “worst joke of the day” segment on 95PEN.
