1980 Weekend Magazine segment on ATL Radio

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyjykbCKNJw

Thanks to Mark McCain for discovering this.

Steve McCoy, the "NEW Kicks", carts and more carts, Jerry Blum, WSB-FM discussing a forthcoming flip, an AMC Pacer, and the famous soft-spoken Peach VO guy.

Arbitron rankings in AM drive: #2, Steve McCoy on Z-93; #3, Gary McKee on 94Q; #4, Jim Howell on 590 WPLO (!).

They never said who was #1. My guess from the context was WSB-AM.

I always wondered who the Peach guy was. When 100.5 was stunting before the flip to Rock100.5, the "Silence Channel" segment sounded exactly like the old Peach guy...was it the same guy?

I think this video is from 1982 since Ross and Wilson were still on Z-93 until sometime in 1981. Glad this video was uncovered and shared with us.

I think you're right. The discussion of the WSB-FM flip also would place this a year or two later.
