1980's on K Earth?

With the relauched WCBS FM being 60s 70's and 80's and sounding very good. If WCBS FM does wil will CBS Radio havel K Earth add 80 music simular to what is bing played on WCBS FM to the 60 and 70's music they are allready playing and have bigger playlist

Probably not since it would be cannibalizing Jack. CBS-FM doesn't have that problem since co-owned K-ROCK and Fresh rarely play anything before 1990. If KRTH were to add some 80's it would have to be r&b or ac type stuff, no rock or KROQ new wave.

I don't think this is true at all. We are only talking about a few 80's songs, and K-Earth playing something in rotation that just also happens to be on JACK or KROQ is not going cause any demo change for either. JACK also plays 90s and Currents which K-Earth does not play.

That said, WCBS FM is in a very different situation, and CBS plans to play songs that charted in New York as well. I don't think there is any comparison between the two. Different markets, different stations, different audiences, different heritage entirely.
