1st Week of new talent on KMPS

Well. They are pros. they seem like nice people, but they are still unfamiliar. That takes a little time. Nice shot getting a Carrie Underwood interview. What will work long term is being a family oriented show and bringing in the audience.

What doesn't take any time is non-pros calling anything new unlistenable. Seen it happen over and over.

Thanks for making that point. I can recall many people who became "big deals" starting out with my wrinkled brow doing the "why did they hire THAT person" .... only to find myself settling in with everyone else after a few weeks. Think of it as getting a new roommate!!

"Hope they purchase round trip tickets from Portland," quoting a well-known Seattle radio person who shall remain nameless.

That quote was from 1986, regarding Kent & Alan.

Confess I only listened a little bit. Just can't really stand much of that country music stuff. Thought they sounded pretty formulaic and not that unique. There was nothing terrible or anything but certainly nothing that kept my attention long enough to keep me through the long sets of yawn-inducing music. Just the same old, "wow, isn't this a shocking tabloid story?!" lead in to a cookie-cutter question/phone-starter. Maybe there was something earth-shatteringly ground-breaking but I didn't catch it.
