2 94.7 Wave Items

I realize its not always unusual
finding a specialty show on a
Saturday evening, but I am sure
surprised finding essentially a
Soul show with Greg Mac. Just
think, when was the last time we
heard Jungle Love on the Wave?
In addition, their HD2 channel is
now just running maybe a 500HZ
tone. I know I looked this morning
and they were still running
instrumental smooth jazz. Honestly
if they were really going to go AC,
the time to jump would be during
KOST Holidays, but I suppose they
are testing the waters?

I would say that for the foreseeable future, there won't be a Mainstream AC competitor for KOST. I think the HD2 channel has a technical issue. I'll bet that Smooth Jazz will still be broadcast on HD as soon as someone realizes it's off. They could be doing maintenance on it as well. Companies aren't that concerned with their HD2 channels to worry about it being off for a while. Happens all the time when back-up transmitter sites are in use...

I am wondering what the Greg Mack sow will sound like as time passes. This is only his 3rd Saturday and I'm of the mind that it's a show in it's infancy.
