The first anniversary of these two events from last Dec. are about to happen.
Dec 1, 2006: WKLB moves from 99.5 to 102.5 while WCRB does vice-versa. WKLB's ratings have
done better I'd think and they've picked up more listeners in certain areas where 99.5 wasn't
as easily received. WCRB survives, despite classical stations vanishing elsewhere.
Dec 21, 2006: WKOX and WXKS switch from Prog Talk to La Nueva Rumba. No sign prog talk
(as a full station) will return, though last night on WBZ I heard caller after caller declare
their love for Hillary on Steve Leveille's show. Who says there are no libs on Boston (commercial)
radio? And on a truly powerful signal.
