2 Call Pat

Just when Nurse Jeff and I thought we'd heard it all on KT'Rs Pat McMahon show, along came this classic: (New voiceover guy) KT'R where we take your call.. So we get one hour of Pat interviewing the embattled Maricopa Co School Superintendant and a WHOPPING two calls! First caller challenged the Super with facts and figures. McBland spent the next half hour defending the homeless school chief. The second caller was a former teacher and gushed enthusiastically about the Super and her $4.5m budget deficit. Two calls in one hour. Not much difference between KT'R and The Nearly Bald One on KFYI...except he's more entertaining! (sfx...applause)

You didn't stick around for the rest of the show? The absolutely riveting
promo I heard during AMD mentioned this, that, and...and...potty training
your kid. Even better than toaster repair! (Wonder how the potty hour
numbers were vs. El Rushbo...?)

I, too, listened to the two-call hour...He kept inviting callers...He took the last call seconds before the end of the program and commented that it was nice of her to make her comment after waiting for so long...Was he suggesting they kept the lone lit line on hold all that time???
(The first caller, by the way, Nancy, the expert from ASU, will have an essay about educating homeless children printed in The Republic sometime this week.)
