2 day old info on the T.I.S. Stations?

Ok, aren't we scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit here talking about TIS? I assume you mean HAR (Highway Advisory Radio).
Who listens to that anyway?

Highway Advisory Radio stations are in the AM band and I for one enjoy reading about them but I can see how some might see that they were not an appropriate topic for a broadcast forum.

That being said, to answer the question about who uses them. I do. After years and years of the 530 in Manchester and the 1620 in Windsor running the same loop advertising the HOV lanes the CT DOT finally, a while back, tied them in with their traffic advisory system which includes the overhad signs. I've used to HAR stations, including the one being discussed, several times to avoid tie ups, Found them very helpful.

Once or twice they haven't been updated but more often than not when I tune it they are up to the minute (or at least the hour).

Curious as to whether others think they are an appropriate topic for this forum.
