At the very end of the Tony Ventrella show last night he said that he just completed his last show at 710 KIRO. He thanked his listeners, read an inspirational message and he said goodbye.

With Prell, that makes two. I wonder what they have up their sleeve.

My bet is after Clendening gets done firing the people he brought in, he'll get a swift kick to the door too.

Wow...what a sad state of affairs. I can't believe how the once mighty KIRO has fallen. No doubt, a series of bad decisions has left them to now deal with the mess that's been created. So will Dave go back to 9a-12n? Will news reappear in afternoons? Will KPTK take over the liberal talk position in the market and leave KIRO with continuing challenges? This one will be interesting to watch.....

Re: 710 KIRO sucks because of Entercom

Entercom has ruined KIRO,from what Bonneville had. (I really don't think Entercom should be in the news business. Just look at their track record!!
Morons!!)

Entercom's record looking pretty good

Just my opinion. You criticize Entercom's track record. Look at Entercom's WWL in New Orleans. Working with Clear Channel, they have been doing "United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans" for a month now.

I would be darn proud of that. IMHO, Entercom is not nearly as bad as many.

Would everyone agree - it would be best if Broadcasting went back to ownership limits - 1 company not owning more that 1 AM, 1 FM, and 1 TV in a market, and no more than 5 total in the US. But we will NEVER get that Genie back in the bottle, will we?

Frank Shiers will rescue the 9-noon slot and bring KIRO out of the doldrums.

Only if they pair him up with Erin Hart.

Actually, Ross will move back to mornings. NYVinnie is now the new 6 - 9 PM host. That leaves 3 - 6 PM for news with Tony and....Rachel Bell? Or Hart & Shiers?

Anyone have Ernie Brown's number?
