2 FOX Saturday Night Baseball Games Cleared In Hartford (6.16.12)

With Hartford's Fox station, WTIC/61, carrying the Red Sox/Cubs game, the506.com is reporting that the Mets' tilt with the Reds airing at the same time will air on WTIC's sister station, WCCT/20.

The benefits of a duopoly involving a Fox affiliate. Now if only the NFL could work something out for when the Patriots are playing at the same time as the Giants or Jets...

I believe NFL league rules prohibit that sort of thing. That type of conflict may indeed happen this September. I'll just need to look at the schedule again.

The NFL allows it. Where I live, sometimes WFXT and WNAC air different football games on FOX at the same time, and I'm allowed to tune into one or the other without a problem.

Maybe they were able to work out this deal with FOX since WCCT-TV is the regular Mets affiliate in Hartford.

@ SONICDOOMMARIO: That isn't the same thing. You're talking about FOX in two different markets, while this scenario is involving the FOX and CW affiliates in the same market.
