2 Interesting stations picked up in CT (including a translator from Long Island)

98.1 W251BY Patchogue, Long Island -Oldies "Oldies 98". (Simulcasts WPTY HD2)

I get that one occasionally in Meriden along Route 5. It will boom in at one location, then be gone completely 100 feet away. Strange. I don't know why we can get a 250-watt translator so far from the shoreline unless they're cheating and running more than the allowed power.
