2 Live Stews Reduced to 2 hour Show

Following 680 The Fan moving Chuck & Chernoff to afternoon drive, 790 The Zone makes a change putting Pollack & Bell on from 3-7 pm and moving the 2 Live Stews to 1-3pm.

The Stews were dropped from their syndication deal earlier this month and now have been reduced to just two hours in the midday. Have they run their course or will 790 move them again?

Ryan Stewart spoke to Rodney Ho of the ajc:

I never felt the Stews deserved the attention they received. Content wise, it has never been a great show. They were ground breaking for being the first african american sports talk hosts to get a syndication deal, and they certainly appealed to their demo, but the show ain't that great.

CBS Sports' James Brown helmed a syndicated show on Sporting News Radio before the Stews got their second national deal (2nd with SNR, first with Radio One).

I did put the "S" on hosts didn't I? As in DUO. As in team. As in more than one. But thanks for your input.

First, the syndication deal ends... Now, their show is trimmed an hour... What's next, Luther Campbell suing them for tweaking his "2 Live Crew" group name? :-X
