2 More Exiting US Stations, Hot Springs

Trent Foreman is leaving because he is putting his family first. We all know that this business does not give a lot of time for family. I admire him for making a change so that he has more time with his girls.

Karen Norman is leaving assumably to sell the magazine she and her husband own together. I always thought there was a conflict there when you own an advertising venue and work at another. Anyway, I hear that she may be going the direction where they are hiring.

I think that Gary and Bob are some of the best people you could ever work for. I hope that they can open up the doors for someone else in the business that had as much drive as Trent does. Trent has been great for Hot Springs, and trust me.... I know about making sacrifices in this business to better the family. My wife gets home at 5:30 and I leave at 6:00 to get on the air. I do it all, so I can stay home with my 9month old son, and not get a paycheck to hand over to daycare.

It was great to go back to Hot Springs and have lunch with some of my co-workers. Yes there were a few who didn't show up. Some, because of good reasons, and I am sure some that just didn't want to see me.

Karen Norman will be missed at the Radio Stations. I know that she was selling for her husband's coupon book, but it didn't mess with her numbers at the stations.

Once again, I hope they open the doors for another great on air talent. If you would ask me.... I would go back and work for Gary and Bob any day.

Trent is one heck of a fellow and I'm sure he will be missed!

Karen Norman is/was hands down the best radio sales person I've ever met. She is ethical. GASP!!!! I said it she's ethical and knows how radio works.

I wish them both the best of luck!

In my humble opinion, US Stations is what turned the Hot Springs market around. It doesn't hurt that they love radio and care about their family.

Ouch! txradiochick. No love for KLAZ? I guess you're right though....KLAZ used to be tha bomb, but they let too many good people get away from them. That's what happens when you treat your people like crap.

Noalmark Broadcasting is one of the worst Companies to ever work for!

They have no regard for family and have no loyalty to their employees,
unless of course you drink!

Think twice before you choose Noalmark Broadcasting as your future
employer!

Hey now...I never said anything negative about KLAZ. I have my own opinion and yes, if I had the choice, I would choose to work for US Stations over KLAZ of the past. However, I believe the ownership of KLAZ has realized some of the problems and corrected them. Neither station would have the honor as being named the "Worst I've Ever Work For" and I worked at both of those stations before the current management.

Uh...have you worked in radio long? Back in the day drinking was pretty common and in some places more than others. It still occurs even down here in Texas. I don't know what employees expect of management. Today isn't yesterday and no, there isn't much loyalty to employees. You don't work for a company for 30 years and retire from it with a pension. Yes, it stinks but guys, you have to all realize we have created our own reality. You can bash company after company but we're the ones that created the monster. (Oh...and by the way...don't get me started on Walmart. LOL!) We all have sold our hearts and minds at one time or another for too little only for the love of the game.

Ahh... Noalmark hatred at it's best. Hot Springs hasn't changed since I left the radio business four years ago!
