2 new news anchors on ch 2 kprc tonight

Here's one of their bios. I could not find the other one. KPRC has a revolving door when it comes to talent. Bill, Linda, Dominique, & Frank are the only ones that were there when I moved to Houston in 1998. A couple of the reporters are the same (Kym Alvarado & Mary Benton), but overall they seem to come and go quite frequently. It might have something to do with their very poor ratings. I don't think the talent has ever been the problem. It is their presentation and their execution which is their parent company's (Post-Newsweek) signature look. It works in Detroit and somewhat in San Antonio, but it has never worked here. Ever since Ron Stone left, the station just hasn't been the same, and until they address that issue, I think they will continue to lose viewers and talent.

Rachel McNeill is still the weekend anchor at Channel 2. She was just off this weekend. She does, however, now have a co-anchor, Owen Conflenti, after flying solo for years. (It's about time!) It's strange that they chose to debut the new guy on a weekend Rachel was off. Christina Park, who was filling in for Rachel, is a new reporter at KPRC who just arrived from CNN.

More changes coming soon. Ch.2 opted not to extend a.m. weather guy Wes Hohenstein's contract. He'll be off air within the next few months.

Now that Wasserman is gone the only change that needs to be done is to get rid of news director Nancy Shafran. Hard to believe she is still hanging on after all these years - if ratings continue to tank and new personalities don't help, get rid of the ND and alter the presentation.

I agree, this belongs on the TV Board! The Texas TV Board on this site is dominated by DFW-related information. There seems to be alot more interest coming from that region of Texas and it shows by the numerous posts related to DFW TV.
I'd like to see more Houston TV-related posts there.
