we never seem to hear kudos for KQQL/Minneaplis or WRIT/Milwaukee. Looked at the new numbers released a few minutes ago and both stations look like they're in the best shape they've been in awhile.

And, look at their music lists-- decidely 60s-70s, centered around 1971-1972.

Kudos as well to WHTT/Buffalo, which sounds very well lately. Personality, contesting, uptempo music mix, good FAMILIAR variety. I'd love to hear a little bit more rockin' pre-Beatles material, but if it shows ratings success in the Spring Book, it's well-earned.

I live in the WRIT listening area. I would not call them an "oldies" station.(even tho they are listed as one). No 50s... some 70s disco( they even have a disco Saturday night thing).Even some early 80s stuff.
They tweaked thir format about 2 years ago to compete with WKLH(classic hits) and now with their sister station WQBW(classic rock), they are burying WKLH which had killer numbers for close to 20 years.
I always thought an oldies station played late 50s-early 70s, but those rules are changing, although there are still a lot of true oldies stations out there...mainly on AM.
