2 Timin' TMISU?

What a tease, that Clark Howard. Doing weekends for TMISU on News 92~three, where Hip-Hop used to live, and now doing 7-9pm weekdays on KFNN, 15~ten. Those Clarkaholics will really be steamed when 15~ten powers down to their 100 watt nightime setting. But Nurse Jeff reminds me that KFNN's timer is just as screwed up as 14~forty's, so maybe Clark will be cooking with 22kw right up to 9pm!

Hey, Austin Hill has been two timing on his partner, he did Ziegler's show all week on KFI.

I heard a bit last nite, he sounded great, he completely changes his cadence and delivery for Los Angelinos.

Clarkaholic!

Yay! The kfnn.com website seems to stream nicely. Usually I have to stream WPTT Pittsburgh (3-7PM PT) or KLBJ Austin (5-8PM PT). Hopefully KFNN will play the two hours of NEW shows daily rather than mix it up they way KTAR always has. I've never understood why KTAR plays rerun hours when they have 10 hours of new product weekly to squeeze into 3 hours (although admittedly I rarely bother trying to catch the SAT 3AM hour). KFMB SanDiego does Clark marathons SAT 11PM-4AM and SUN 11PM-2AM, although their "enhanced" stream player is just hideously bad.

KTAR is no longer listed on clarkhoward.com as a station.

Yes, but that 1510 frequently comes in loud and clear in San Bernardino, CA shortly after nearby KSPA/Ontario powers down to 1kW!

As to Clark Howard streams... might I suggest www.yakcasts.com

I know I should be able to figure out tmisu, I d
haven't. I am ashamed to ask but I shall.

TMISU = The Men In Secret Underwear, aka Bonneville Communications, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - hence the reference to "secret underwear."

How about stations owned by TMIABH (the man in a big hat- the Pope), or by a SBBT (Southern Baptist Bible Thumper), or ARSOA (Agnostic Radio Society of America), and TPWDWUS (the people who do't wear underwear society)? Who the heck cares what the religion is or what they wear? Someone has had a wedggie/snuggie for too many years on here! ::)

The Catholic Church does own broadcast stations, but I believe they're all religious broadcasters, not secular ones like most, if not all, of those owned by TMISU. But I guess we could call the Catholic-owned group TMIBC (The Men In Backward Collars). ;D

Now SBBT could refer to Salem, but I think they're actually a publicly-traded company. I have no idea of anyone who lives sans-skivvies (secret or otherwise) who owns radio stations but it wouldn't surprise me if some station owner fit into that category.

I know that you will call me a shill, I'm prepared for that.

I know that tmisu is supposed to be humor, but I'm not entertained by anything that is, perhaps, an affront
to anyone of a particular religious persuasion who might read such a post.
You might refer to Emmis as tmilh or any number of other descriptions that could be taken as slurs.
Sorry folks, it ain't funny. There are black owned stations, you do not reference them as tmwlfc.

You've chosen a particular religion to describe in a way that I think belittles them. Ask yourself would
a Mormon reading such a post be offended. Plus, I don't notice any other groups described with letters referencing their religious beliefs.

One other thing, this is really good management. Check out their web site, listen to what sales has accomplished, look at the promotions from within, check the employee benefit package. A package that encourages gym membership among other additions that other companies would not dream of offering.
These are the signs of what a company is all about.

I shan't respond again now that I know what tmisu means. You should remove that kind of reference from your posts.

I repeat, call me a shill if you choose, I've been around quite a while and you should all have the kind of experience working for this group provides.

What is this, National Shill Coming Out month? Nurse Jeff and I are checking this board with greater frequency wondering who's next.

Heard a variation on "KT'R" yesterday. One of the local-sports-update guys was running long and was rushing the last few lines of copy. He got to "Sports 620, KTAR", and it came out as "Sport-Sick-Twenny, Kay-Tee-Air."

TMILFC ???

That's two votes (1 online, 1 offline) for fried chicken.

Jay, fess up or you have some 'splaining to do...

For all the money TMISU have spent promoting NEWS on FM 92~3, where Hip Hop used to live, you'd think media writers would get it right. But noooooooooooo as the East Valley Tribune wrote about Hi Def news, weather and sports on 6~twenty in Sunday's story about Valley HD stations. Nurse Jeff and I think this is almost as strange as last Friday's McBland show where he talked about vaginas and car mechanics in the same hour!

Speaking of the Lovable One,

Jay was off tonight and he was replaced with Clark Howard. KT'R did this a few weeks ago. I'm kind of surprised that they didn't get a local personally to do the show.

Still waiting Jayaz...

What?

KTAR with a non local host?

I tuned in today, and there was Monica Crowley, a non local host!

Egads!

I could do Jay math and under report the amount of local shows on KTAR.

(or be really bitchy and claim that Aunt Carlos isn't local talk, he is still mentally in Dallas)

/Aunt Carlos is so freaking bad, its almost a self parody
