2005 Year in Review

The demise of K-Rock was discussed quite a bit and here we go, WXRK will be flipping formats and there will be no modern rock outlet in New York City.

The biggie: Legendary Oldies 101.1 WCBS FM flipped to Adult Hits "Jack FM" on June 3rd at 5PM. The outcome, as we know, not too good.

In response to Jack, WPLJ added more songs to the playlist/

WLTW was noticeably adding quite a "interesting" songs to their playlist. Despite the tweaks, WLTW is still the number one station in New York.

WNEW and WKTU continue the the dance battle. WNEW is steadily rising and KTU must feel somewhat threatened.

Z100 continues to do its thing successfully.

I haven't paid attention to Power and Hot. How are they doing?

WNEW retreated a bit in the last set of trends, but otherwise has been a slow rise after a year as their emergence as a Classic Dance Station. Depsite those gains by WNEW, KTU's numbers are remaining strong and consistant as well.<P ID="signature">______________
