Makes me laugh-
The peeps on here who bitch that The Ticket isn't a sports station.

Well, looks like the Marconi commitee disagrees with ya...

Or maybe they realize that an all sports station doesn't have to be, technically, all sports all the time.

But they do need to be entertaining all the time. Which is why 103.3 ESPN will never compete for a Marconi...

Or possibly, it's a sad commentary on the pathetic state of sports radio in this country...

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. ::)

But if you're (one of) the best of a bad lot, you're still one of the best. And here's a group that can pick from any sports stations aroun dteh country, and pick the Ticket (which half this board rips up one side and down the other) as one of the top stations

The Ticket will probably win a Marconi for that ground-breaking pre-game coverage at the NBA finals, where they sent out one journalist to roam the AAC and interview attractive women while three or more others made insightful, intruiging comments from the booth. I can't wait for them to try that during their Cowboys pre-game coverage. I can see it now...

R(W)hiner: All right, she doesn't do anything for me. Enough of her. Let's move on.

Greggo: OOH, OOH, Corebee, over there, look at those hooters!

Corebee: Jeez, Greggo, keep it in your pants. Give me a second to get over there. This stinkin equipment is heavy!

Greggo: She's HOT! Ask her if she's married.

R(W)hiner: Corebee, we can't see her! There's some huge dude walking up behind you and blocking our view. Corebee, that looks like broken teeth, blood, and gray matter flying out from the other side of the big dude. Is that her husband, by chance? [pause] Corebee? [pause] Corebee?

Greggo: Wow, that guy really beat the crap out of Corebee. I guess all that stuff I've heard about jealous husbands is true!

R(W)hiner: Yeah, they sure do seem to get a different type of crowd over here compared to that laid-back wine-and-cheese crowd we found over at the Little Mavericks game.

Compelling sportstalk radio.....The Ticket schtick was funny maybe the 1st 500 times you heard it. It's the same predictable thing day after day...no matter what sport is in season. I'm verrrrry anxious to see how they handle the Cowboys coverage. How much will they cave to Jerrah????? And how will they spin the neutering?

Boy, there are a lot of Ticket haters out there. Why are you guys trying to put them in a box? They do a good job covering sports when it's time to do so, but in between time they try to entertain there listeners (imagine that). If they where as absolute as some of you guys want them to be, their numbers would suck (like 103.3).And none of you guys would listen either.
