2006 Predictions

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Will 2006 be a new year of changes and shake ups? 2005 was a quiet year execpt for 97x going to the internet and First buying them and 99.5/97.7 pair.
Edited by microbob on 12/26/05 01:33 AM.

I know this sounds crazy, but I've been hearing from more than one source that WBOB's new owners are going back to sports. One of those sources was pretty good. There may be an LMA involoved. Anybody have anything on this or am I being played "the fool?" What could they possibly do?

That's interesting.. I think it would be a good move especially if it was local during the day. I'm not a big Jim Rome fan and it would be nice to have a local alternative. 1160 was pretty successful back in the day before Salem got it.

Actually, both of those events happened in 2004.

The switch to Max happened Sunday night before Memorial Day of this year.

2005 was a quiet year then...:) I was thinking of the flip to Max or BOB as was to be called.

Understood, sir! It was a quiet year on the radio front (except for me... ahem). Anyways. Let's see what's going to happen this year - maybe something major? It'll be interesting to watch.

Not sure I'd bet the farm on a flip to Sports but Salem does Sports talk in Cleveland. Interesting to see what the fallout from the Susquehanna sale might be, particularly on MOJO. I don't see much of any change in Dayton on the horizon..but will two sportstalkers survive?
______________
