The site looks like it is owned by www.flyfi.com. From their press release:
FlyFi isn't exactly wet behind the ears. Prior to Halloween, 2008, FlyFi lived an active life in beta, collecting data about music lovers, under the name of Goombah. Many of the press items here reference Goombah (think FlyFi in it's larval state)
Prior to Halloween 2008? That was 4 weeks ago. So, the event is presented by a music website that didn't exactly exist last month. There are no radio sponsors; the event appears to exist solely to promote an outdated concept (um, Pandora, Apple's Genius, and countless others already exist.) How sad. Is this the best they could do?
