2009 Hannity program clock

Yikes, there's only 35 minutes of show content per hour (with 25 minutes of news/commercials).

That's way too much ad clutter; most other talk shows have a run time of about 38-40 minutes per hour (with the exception of Coast to Coast AM, with has a run time of 44 minutes per hour)
 
They're leaving a lot of local avails open. Even 6 minutes of network spots is a little heavier than most shows which have 5 minutes.

In comparison, Glenn Beck's clock has 5 minutes network spots, 17:10 local spots, and 37:50 program content. Limbaugh's 2009 clock (these seem to change annually) has 5 minutes network spots, 16:10 local spots, and 38:50 program content (except for hour 3, which has an extra minute of local spots).

Then on the other side there's Dr. Dean Edell, with 17:10 local spots, 4 minutes network spots, and 38:50 program content. His network spots are both after segments 1 and 3, with segments 2, 4 and 5 going straight into local breaks. So if you listen between :45 and the top, you won't hear any network spots.
 
Now on T-R-I today, it reads that affiliates will have to run a morning update with a minute of network spots, run a ROS :60 spot during the daytime hours, AND run a weekend best-of show. This is nuts. When will the PDs say enough is enough?
 
When he isn't a ratings and revenue juggernaut.

If you can get Hannity and you are a PD you take him, you run his morning feature and his :60 second spot.

Savage had extra stuff you had to carry and I know it kept him off at least on station. They have now started removing those requirements.
