2010 leftovers

550 am. Anyone know when it goes back on the air?

Number two.....

Lite Mid days

Number three

WPRO/WEAN and Ron St. Piere

and finally.......

WALE off the air.Not sure how long its been silent.

WBZS, as of today. Those are calls that Disney applied for; I wouldn't be at all surprised if Salem changes them again before 550 ever gets back on the air.

Does seem to imply a business talk format, though. Perhaps Salem is stashing those letters on 550 before a ride up I-95 and I-93 to AM 950 in Boston?

I don't think those calls containing WBZ will last very long in Boston if they try that. When 1460 in Brockton tried WBZB, it only lasted a week or so.

1. No idea. at this point not even a blip on my radar

2. Too early, Tanya just got let go just over 3 weeks ago and then was time for vacations & the Holidays.

3. Seems to be right where he was before he dropped 790 stripes. Wonder if one of his last acts was to give Anthony Gemma his new show on 790....

4. Who cares...see answer for #1

I'd think that the WBZS calls could be parked on 550 to go to Boston. Don't forget that 1150 up there is dropping Radio Luz. Surprised that Salem doesn't reacquire the the WPZE calls they used for a while on 1260.

The WPZE calls are in use on a Radio One FM in Atlanta; doesn't mean you couldn't use them on AM in Providence, but it might not be worth the hassle.

I quite agree that WBZ would not look kindly (even in a PPM world) on "WBZS, Boston," but that doesn't mean Salem might not have them parked there for use elsewhere.
