2011 BANNER YEAR FOR SUB-CHANNELS (HOW DID YOUR CITY FARE?)

Also in the OMW Coverage Area, Youngstown saw no new subchannels in 2011.

The existing lineup:
WFMJ/21 (NBC) - CW affiliate "WBCB, The Valley's CW"/21.2
WKBN/27 (CBS) - Fox affiliate WYFX "Fox Youngstown"/27.2
WYTV/33 (ABC) - MyNetwork affiliate "MyYTV"/33.2, "My Valley Weather" 33.3
WNEO/45 (PBS) - "Fusion" 45.2 (local programming and Arts Channel), MHz Worldview 45.3, V-me (Spanish) 45.4 // WEAO/49

There was one subchannel change - after "Fox Youngstown" got its own low-power digital home on 19 (in HD), WKBN dropped the 27.2 simulcast to standard definition.

Well, I finally got my first real glimpse of RTV locally, as the local carrier (KFLA-LD) boosted its power over New Year's Weekend to cover the rest of Southern Los Angeles County. I watched bits and pieces on Sunday of a couple programs (the tail end of The Bill Cosby Show and a minute or so of I, Spy later that evening). The picture quality was fine, but I have to say that reading all of the comments of RTV from you guys over the last couple of years, I have to agree. RTV makes Me-TV and Antenna TV look like CBS and ABC in terms of presentation...just a third-tier product, and calling second-tier would be a compliment.
