2011 WEBN Fireworks...

Watching the 2011 WEBN fireworks right now on Channel 19. Did someone drop the ball on the audio at the beginning of the show? There was about a 2 minute section where there was no audio feed on 19 .... ???

Audio track sounds.... meh... it's good but not great. I'll give credit to Joel Moss because he's been doing it for so long. Just heard some Van Halen; that I've never heard before.

Been to the fireworks on the river a few times.

Thoughts/Reactions?

Not only that, WEBN aired last year's soundtrack for the 15 minutes of the show. Not sure how that happened. Fox19 did a bad job focusing the cameras on the fireworks instead showing the water and smoke for most of the show.

Kudos to JM and the EBN team! Awesome job--- Channel 19--- not so much Kies nailed it-- not quite as bad as the channel 5 broadcast a few years back---but still pretty awful.

WXIX-TV’s fireworks’ telecast wasn’t just lost in the smoke clouds Sunday night. TV director David Ashbrock couldn’t find the fireworks synchronized to the music because WEBN-FM played the wrong soundtrack! As several comments mentioned on my fireworks critique blog yesterday, WEBN-FM broadcast last year’s soundtrack for the first 12 minutes of the 30 minute show!
