2013 Emmys In Memoriam

Did anyone else notice how awful the cello music was during the In Memoriam tribute? I mean, it's supposed to be sad but the cello player really hit a lot of uncomfortable notes. Maybe that was in the score. But they should have chosen something more melodic.

By having the five special remembrances, the entire show became a downer. I don't mind highlighting a handful of significant losses, but the show would have been much better off had they grouped the speeches together and segued into the traditional 3-second photo montage.

As it was structured, there were five solemn downbeat moments leading into commercials. Not good.
