2017 Grammy Awards on CBS

I enjoyed the Grammys glad it wasn't to political and all about the music unlike Globes & Oscars at leas the Grammys are about the music and not the politics.

They weren't nominated for New Artist of the Year. Kelsea Ballerini, Chance The Rapper, Anderson Paak, and Maren Morris all performed. They're all new artists.

OK, got you on that. 21 Pilots were nominated for record of the year. And you missed Chainsmokers for New Artist. But this isn't an exact science, I guess. As the Chainsmokers also did not perform.

They had to fill time with carpool Karaoke and other James Corden bits.

The bit was actually rather cute and entertaining.

Neil Diamond didn't even remember the words to sweet Caroline during that segment.

Sure he did... he was purposely letting the other artists sing.

It's the same performers on all of these Music Award shows.

You mean actual stars? I thought that was the whole idea. If you wanna hear new voice, pray that they bring Idol back.

Nothing is new and entertaining. It's become very stale filled with bad audio and gaffs.

I have a fairly decent home theatre system and the audio was at least an A-, and better than the average live event.

Other than Adele's restart, I did not notice any significant gaffes (unless you are referring to the gaffers on the stage crew). It's good to keep in mind that those artists are noted for their singing, not their public speaking skills.

I thought the audio was pretty good...at least when they weren't bleeping out the expletives.
I thought I had missed Adele's announcement but maybe that's what happened since she went on to apologize for cursing. My Internet went out on Wednesday so I got to see what I recorded sooner than I expected. And there were a lot of glitches since I recorded with an antenna but it mostly worked. What tends to happen is that it sounds like someone cursed but usually there are lines or squares or interesting patterns on the screen. That happened a lot at some times, but I had no choice. I didn't have enough room on either TiVo hooked up to cable.
