2022 Television Predictions

Big12 Network launches as a TV channel.
You mean as an OTA subchannel, or via cable/satellite/streaming like the BTN, ACC, and SEC channels?

If you mean the former, file that under "not happening." Ad dollars alone can't support these channels. Besides, the Big 12 does not have a national following like the three I mentioned above do. See also: PAC 12 and Longhorn Networks.

Aberration or how you spell it.

Big12 Network launches as a TV channel.
Talk Show TV Channel launches aka like Buzzrtv.
There already is Nosey, a streaming channel with (Mostly trash) daytime talk shows and courtroom shows and Judge Nosey, a channel with courtroom shows on Pluto TV. Two of the biggest wastes of streaming channels, and if you mean a diiginet that would be a waste as well.

Buzzrtv shows old Game Shows and a Talk show one could show repeats of Late night Talk Shows,Ones on daytime and so on because most have enough for to show so does Saturday Night Live in reruns. Even Survivor,The Voice and so on not show in repeats.
Big 12 Network in the past for Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City used 38 the Spot.

Local news departments will shrivel in small markets. Some states may start broadcasting statewide newscasts instead of localized news for each market. (e.g., a Montana newscast operated out of KTVQ for the entire MTN/CBS network). After all, the news cume continues to age and continues to drop. With the inflated and unstable economy, some owners may have to consolidate.

More networks end up on DT2s of other stations while the original station turns into a showcase for subchannel networks - like what Gray Television has done in several markets. In some purchases, the original station's license will be turned into the FCC...one less power bill.

The continuation of streaming, streaming, streaming. While cable networks and broadcast networks struggle with programming, high-quality dramas, sitcoms, and miniseries will continue their transition to Netflix, Amazon Video, and Hulu.

ABC finally cancels DWTS for good after struggling ratings, running out of celebrities to use (they've gone down to Z-list crap lately), and lower morale towards Tyra Banks than long-time host Tom Bergeron. (I doubt it, but seriously, I wish.)

A sexual harassment case will take one talk or game show host off television airwaves for good.

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson will receive a multi-year renewal as she takes over Ellen DeGeneres' timeslot on NBC O&Os, thereby increasing her audience, especially ex-Ellen viewers. Twitch and/or Andy Lassner may join her show behind the scenes or as sidekicks to keep some of the old 'Ellen' spirit alive.

With the President's approval ratings still above 50% disapproval in recent polls (non-partisan), Fox News continues its winning streak for cable news while CNN flaunts around as #3. Depending on any major developments going into midterms, MSNBC and Fox News could be close in the ratings going into November.

If you're talking about late night talk shows there is a channel for Johnny Carson repeats that is on Pluto TV and other similar channels. I'd like to see a channel that carried other late night shows, especially Letterman and Leno, but I don't know what it would take for that to happen.

Or some of these changes could also be due to the sister/LMA station being converted to ATSC 3.0 in some markets.
