That's for KXCL, 103.9 LINCOLN, the new community of license for the now Class A station with transmitter site in Newcastle, overlooking the bend in I-80 at the Newcastle exit.

First gets out of a station it paid around $8 million for and then spent some additonal money completing the COL change, format launch with lots of TV.

One wonders whether First came out ahead in the end. Yuba City sure didn't.

Ted.

First did what it set out to do: buy it, move it, build it, sell it. Probably did not get all they thought they could, but that's what happens when you're not making a profit.

Yuba-Sutter area did get screwed. At least KUBA and the Huth stations are doing a decent job of community service up that way.
