24 Minute Commercial Breaks May Turn Viewers Off

Thought this was interesting......even though SOME U.S. Nets haven't gotten quite that bad, yet.

It seems that viewers of the networks in the United Arab Emirates are "tuning out" during commercial breaks that may last up to 24 minutes, and contain as many as 76 individual commercials:

Those (including me) who criticise modern European regulators as being too soft would do well to read this. 24 minutes OMG!

LOL! I think it's a dumb idea, but there should be a cable channel that plays commercials, 24 hours a day. Then TV Land can start showing a show in 30 minutes!

And they'd probably claim that they're running shows with "limited commercial interruption." Or should it be they're showing commercials with limited shows ?? :

No, I don't mean Insanity, P90X and Ron Popeil infomercials on end, but a channel that plays commercials, 24/7. Plus, Ion has Criminal Minds, movies, etc. so it's not all commercials...

If MBC and other UAE broadcasters need to air that many commercials to make money, then maybe they need to raise their ad rates.
