25th WILI-AM Boom Box Parade This July 4th

Sadly, I can't get them here in New Britain: Too far for a 1,000 watt radio station AND the transmitter of 5,000 watt WPOP-AM being too close by in Newington.

Surprisingly I can get a week signal from them on my car radio sitting in the parking lot near A&P Liquors in Stop & Shop Plaza on Pine Street in Bristol. I also get a weak signal from WLIS 1420 there too.

I once moved my AM antenna to find the one lone weak spot with WPOP-AM 1410 It's very tough to do with a 5,000 watt signal being only about 3 miles away! When I did that, I got a VERY faint signal from WLIS-AM 1420. I then tuned to WMRD-AM 1150 of Middletown to confirm it was WLIS (satellite of WMRD).
