I listen to 2CH from Sydney a lot via internet radio and enjoy their Classic Hit format. 2CH claims that they’re on DAB in Australia, just curious do more listeners tune in more through Medium Wave or do they favor DAB and is the DAB service in Stereo?

I lived in Perth until 2016. My car didn't have DAB, but modern cars probably all do, similar to "HD" FM here. I had DAB on a couple of home radios and all the DAB stations were in stereo, so assume 2CH would be stereo. The DAB signal was at times sketchy at my house (in an inner Perth suburb), but don't know how good the signal was in the car. The ABC has several digital-only stations that have audiences (ABC Country, ABC Jazz, Double J - a kind of modern-leaning AAA).

GFK, the ratings provider in Australia's major markets, produces separate ratings for AM/FM and DAB-only stations. The DAB ratings only show cume, not share. In the most recent survey (covering most of September and October), the #1 cume station in Sydney was Smooth 95.3 FM with 1.08 million. 2CH had 270,000 The top cume for any DAB-only station was 91,000 for Double J.
While the 2CH figure is a combination of AM and DAB listening, it is likely most of that cume, and listening, is on the AM signal.
