2ND ROUND OF TAMPA PPM NUMBERS ARE OUT

Rather interesting... Other than FLA and DAE most of the Tampa AM's are way down the list. PPM not kind to them I guess...

Reality is almost never "kind"....unless you are 620 or 970..and they snapped up most of what passes for listenable these days, either content or signalwise on whats left of the Tampa Bay AM band. Perhaps this new system may be more accurate? This reflects what most of us have thought for years.

What is left? Two sports stations, one will never begin to prosper until the signal is addressed...and these days, why would you?; and the other mostly a mouthpiece for ESPN. A few urban, a little spanish, some God Squads and the remaining 2nd and 3rd tier right wing outlets featuring (yawn) the same ol' stuff off the bird.

Now if whichever AM thats left is in position to a) give us something listenable and b) find yourself an HD slot.....well, just do it and let's see how it sounds.

WRBQ is still number 2 and has the highest cume of CBS stations. Is it still the board pundits opinion that this format is a failure?

[Q105 is doing great, I hope it never goes away

I think most, if not all of the really negative posts were from people with other agendas (i.e. former employees).

Are the Bucs hurting DAE? Cume was up a bit at ESPN 1040, maybe folks going to the national shows rather than hear about the local disaster?

And with that big stick on 820, WWBA only managed about the same cume as the brokered stuff on 1250.

Since they are not listed, I assume that Wagi chose (wisely) not to waste money encoding the Tan-talk network.
