2WD's Barry McKay: Live Or Memorex?

Wondering if the midday jock on WWDE is voicetracked and not live. If he was, he probably would have noted right after playing Marc Cohn's "Walking In Memphis" that today is the 35th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.
 
Well, I guess I got my answer: Yesterday at around a quarter before 1 PM, I heard, simultaneously, a liner saying "more music is next!" and McKay doing what turned out to be a 20-second talk-up to "Separate Ways". After he said, "Here's Journey from '83," they went to spots. Oops...
 
Barry in for Jenna this morning. He's not doing a horrible job, but the segments sounds pre-recorded (sharp segues into the traffic reports) and sound as if they were pre-recorded within an hour. Not completely canned, I suppose.
