Yetta Gibson posted a cryptic message on FB. Apparently, she is "leaving her man Scott". That obviously generated a lot of questions about where she was going. She said she's staying at 3/5, but she has "another man". Later, she admitted that the new man was Brandon Lee. And she mentioned that the formal announcement will be made tomorrow.

So, is Yetta moving to evenings with Brandon? If so, what happens to Kris Pickel? But, most importantly, is there going to be a permanent weekend evening weather anchor ever again?

CONFIRMED on GMAZ this morning: Yetta is moving to evenings, paired with Brandon Lee. They did not mention which shows. This is interesting because it likely means that they are not planning to do a separate am show on CBS5 in the near future. Also, they already have an abundance of evening anchors, if they continue to do combined newscasts. Is Kris or Nicole or Heather leaving?
 
Heidi Goitia is GONE via her FB page. I guess that, together with Yetta's moving to evenings, means that CBS5 This Morning is NOT coming back as a separate newscast. Next, I'm assuming that at least one of the evening anchors will have their "last day" this evening.

Just saw a commercial with Lee and Gibson. They will be joined by Sean McLaughlin who is "joining Arizona's Weather Authority" at the 10PM Meteorologist. Not sure what this says about Sean anchoring any other news programs.

The ad also states that they will be anchoring "CBS 5 News at 10". Are they going back to 2 separate newscasts?
 
ftvlive is reporting that sources at 3/5 are saying that Kris Pickel will remain with the station as a Reporter. I'm wondering what is happening to Paul Horton. If Sean is joining Arizona's Weather Authority as a Meteorologist, what will happen to Paul Horton (assuming Royal is not going anywhere)?

Paul is doing the 9 PM news on 3 tonight, so I have to assume he isn't going anywhere.

Not yet. Both 3 and 5 are running the same newscast.
 
For the CBS5 news updates at 25 and 55 during CBS This Morning, Ian Schwartz has been the anchor. He's still doing the Noon weather. Over the past several days, there have been a hodgepodge of anchors.

Who has been doing the weather on GMAZ before April gets there?
 
Ian, since he came back. He's got a long day: weather from 4:30 - 6AM, CBS This Morning news updates, and the weather at Noon.
 
Today (10/12/20) was Olivia Fierro's first day back in studio. She broadcasted from home since March. I believe the only anchor that has not been back is Heather Moore.

Also, during the weekend and early morning, saw some errors. They showed an Arizona's Weather Authority graphic that had Ashlee DeMartino. Another graphic that had Heidi Goitia (and Ian) doing the Noon News.

With the crowd of evening anchors, why is Brandon Lee solo anchoring the 6:30pm news?
 
And, one more things, what are they going to do with weekend weather? Can't one of the main guys work Sunday through Thursday, leaving Monica to do Saturdays evenings only?
 
SMH. Forgot about Tess Rafols and Nicole Crites. As of today, all anchors are back in studio.

So, the afternoon/evening anchor pairings at 3/5 seem to be:

4pm Nicole Crites and Yetta Gibson
5pm Jared Dillingham and Nicole Crites
6pm Jared Dillingham and Heather Moore
6:30pm Brandon Lee
8pm Yetta Gibson and Brandon Lee
9pm Jared Dillingham and Heather Moore
10pm Yetta Gibson and Brandon Lee
10:35pm Heather Moore

Although Sean appears to be off this week and Paul is doing his virtual car wash (?!?), I have gathered that Sean will be doing weather at 6pm, 6:30pm, and 10pm. Not sure how Royal and Paul will split the rest. Still would seem that 2 weather people could cover all the newscasts.
