3-Hour Pre-game show for the Fall....

It looks like their is now going to be a THREE HOUR pre-game show for razorback football this year...

Don't get me wrong, I love the hogs and Razorback Football, but I think that this is a little too much....

Great Topic. Three hours isn't that bad. In fact, if they are selling sponsorship for it who says it shouldn't be a 5 hour pregame show like a lot of other schools?

It's a little much considering it was forced on us. ISP says it was either that or charge us more, but they never gave us the choice. Cuts out most of our live remote time on Saturday's and wreaks havoc on our Saturday morning schedule, plus, for a mostly all music station, 9-10 hours of anything non-music based is a tune-out to those not Razorback inclined.

Other than that, I love it.

3-hours is too long for the pre-game for most Razorback affiliates, but what are you gonna do? I'm not sure that the ISP deal is in the best interests of the U of A or it's fans and affiliates.

Guys, I know of at least one station that has dropped the Razorbacks because of the three hour pregame show. I was also told that there were several others that seriously discussed looking at other affilations.

As a former Arkansan, and still proud to display my Razorback flag; I just wanted to let you know that Penn State only does a 1-1/2 hour pregame show and is very well sponsored in fact.

Also, being involved in PSU; there is no interest in extending that arrangement either. The local stations up here actually do a pregame show before the network starts their pregame. But, it is limited to 1-1/2 hours too. Once the network starts their broadcast, the locals either take the network feed or shutdown. So, that gives you the 3 hours that maybe UA may be doing. Or... is the network doing a FULL three hours? WOW!!!

Monty, how many stations are doing UCA this coming season? Will KASR ever broadcast any? Just wondering.

Sam

The games will be back again this year on KABZ in Little Rock...1037, "The Buzz".
We will again have a station in Northwest Arkansas and am told we have picked up a couple of other stations around the state.

Games are also on in Conway on KUCA-FM, "The Bear 91.3" and KCNY-FM.

Harrison has aired only mens basketball over the last couple of years.
