Saludos Pueblo Viejo de sus amigos Dr Akbar y Enfermera Jeff!

We have three questions for our friends down south:

1) When will KSAZ power up with 5kw on Saturday mornings so we can catch Dan Babich? There is no skywave between Marana and Buckeye.

2) If KSAZ moves to Queen Creek, does anyone think FOX 10 (KSAZ-TV) might have a slight problem?

3) Can anyone get us into the Evergreen boneyard in Marana so we can check out rusting 747s?

4) With 50kw non-directional day, why hasn't KUAZ (15~fifty) applied for at least 10 watts at night? We have the Lumberyard (KAZG)...what's your excuse?

Yeah, we know we can't count ;D

You'll get the last half of Dancin' Dan in March and the whole enchilada by April.

Both parties came to a consensual agreement allowing channel 10 to use the
KSAZ calls, with a nice honorarium from what used to be Tom's Arabian horse
fund being transferred into the Owl bank account. I doubt if any future
"move-ins" were even considered at the time.

Very tough since "da Schnozz" passed away some years ago.

KFIF 1550 couldn't get night authorization back in the mid-60s. Then-owner Walton
had to buy KTAN 580 to get nights (KIKX 5000/500 DA-N) from the Swan Road sticks,
he then donated 1550 to the U of A.

Today it would probably be a lot easier to get some minimal wattage at night--
but I doubt that with their two FM freqs (and ch. 6) the U would even want to
bother. Although 10 watts/night might be a good spot to air Nancy Pelosi's Fan Club. ;D
(Doc--great handle for that show, BTW.)
