I saw the Dolly Parton one and I felt awful about that poor child. I went to high school with one such girl whose mother did that to her. The girl stayed drunk all the time. My best girlfriend and I were her best girlfriends (no, not for the booze - :)

I have a niece who was a real fashion plate with all her play dress up as a child. Gads, it was nothing like her mother being a loser who had to do something like that to her daughter. To the contrary, she got so vain that her father took all of her high steppin' dress up stuff away from her, including the real mink stole that Aunt Silkie made for her from a real mink stole purchased from a junk shop for $5. She cried to her mother, and her mother stood firmly with daddy.

One girl was dressed as 80's Madonna earlier this year. She had some kind of
cone bra on. That's one thing.......but a hooker.....that's unbelievable.

I remember back in the 1990's Jon Benet Ramsey's Pagent video's was released to MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News. But those video's look tamer compared to TLC but the Nancy Grace type pundits went after the Ramsey family for exploitation.

I can see both sides to this. Little girls like to dress up and I've seen little girls tart themselves up with no help of their parents.

Of course then again, they are not on public display, but in their own homes

This is sick stuff. Really sick. Having a little one of my own who is that age, I find this outrageous, irresponsible and tragic. Also infuriating.

And, I'd bet that this Toddlers and Tiaras show is a favorite of To Catch a Predator alums too.....

That is a great concept for Chris Hansen to do catch the parents who send their kids to Toddlers and Tiaras show. Unfortunaltelly the Parents on Toddlers and Tiaras should be on CNBC's American Greed with the Madoff CEO's because the Parents are sending their kids to Toddlers and Tiaras in the name of Greed.
