$30 Roady2, What a deal!

I think this is an excellent value, especially with no need to buy a car kit or antenna. I picked one up just to have music in the house and when I travel (my cars have integrated Pioneer XM tuners). Definitely a better deal than the free (after rebate) XM and Sirius tuners some retailers are offering that require you to buy a separate home or car kit or don't include the antenna).

Actually, my Roady2 "Home Kit" consists of a 4.99 AC adapter from Big Lots and a headphone-to-RCA adapter from my junk drawer......

And since this is my 3rd tuner.....my subscription cost remains the same!
(Tuners 2 through 5 are covered under the extra 6.99/mo "Family Plan"). Good deal!

Roady2, at this point, are incredibly low-end bargain basement tuners. Especially since the Roady XT is only 20 dollars more and has many more capabilities.

Where do you see these "free" tuners? The only "Free" tuners that XM was offering to my knowledge were Roady2's, which was part of their BOGO promotion in the spring.

And where does a satellite receiver not include an antenna? From a business standpoint, that's incredibly stupid.

Again, that is incorrect. The family plan is 6.99 per radio. Sorry.

I picked up the Roady at Brandsmart here in Atlanta on a two day
sale for $8.88 They quickly sold out!

Was more willing to drop $30 on a tuner for just around the house and on those few occasions I use someone else's car rather than $50. Still a cheap way to get into XM.

CompUSA has the Audiovox XM Tuner free after rebates. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=329567&pfp=SEARCH

Agreed (see above). The XR9 requires you to buy a home or car kit (which includes the mandatory antenna.)
