30 Rock Live

NBC's 30 Rock was done from 30 Rock tonight--live, at 8:30 ET/7:30 CT.

The show is being redone--live, for the left coast, at 8:30 PT.

If you're in the Mountain time zone, you got a replay of the east coast show
an hour later (7:30 MT), or two hours later in the case of AZ (7:30 PT).

OK. But, What about viewers in Hawaii & Alaska? do they get the episode that is shown on the left coast (Pacific)?

Was it the exact same show? Or were some things done slightly different like the last time they were live?

Probably, and since Alaska goes with early prime and is one hour behind Pacific time, they would get the left coast feed live. Hawaii, like Arizona, does early prime but does not observe DST, so they would have to wait two hours.

This reminds me of when Fox's "Roc" (a mere footnote in their 25th anniversary pat-on-the-back show) did shows live for a season. Didn't they do two versions for both coasts?

there were a couple of West Coast references on the Pacific version. It was truly hilarious -- one of their funniest episodes ever. There is nothing Baldwin can't do. He is a god.

I just read that we West Coasters got gypped. Remember the scene we saw where Kim Kardashian slaps Alec Baldwin? On the East Coast, he was slapped by Paul McCartney.

This show, either west or east, was a wild romp. Demands repeated viewings. They certainly threw a lot at the viewer at once, and it was beautiful. Fast-paced, lots of great moments, and at the end you really were not sure what you just saw. I guess that is good TV.

Agreed! My wife had missed it, so I watched it again with her yesterday (DVR).

but the West Coast got Brian Williams for the news segment. I've been able to watch both, yes I think the east coasts was better. Chris Parnell was a Nazi doctor on the east coast and a gay doctor on the west coast.

Every episode is like that. I can't watch this live. It must be DVRed.
