30 Rock--What The...?

What was that crap masquerading as an episode of 30 Rock tonight?
Turned it off halfway through. Just baaaad. ::)

Community was pretty worthless as well. The ratings will likely show that next to no one even saw either with March Madness kicking off. Better to air stinkers like that and get them out of the way when most eyeballs are distracted elsewhere.

I didn't see either show. I made an a** out of you and me (as the saying goes, lol)
because I assumed those shows would be repeats for March break and didn't even bother to tune in!

Is there a reason why NBC did not run ads with the words "ALL NEW" in them?

30 Rock stepped outside its usual genre and did a spot-on satire of all those ridiculous Housewife shows on Bravo. Earlier this season, one storyline was that Mrs Tracy Jordan had gotten her own Bravo TV show. If I recall, it was part of the Kablevision "synergy strategy".

Since Tracy Morgan was sidelined by his recent health issues, it was a clever way to incorporate his absence while doing a sendup of those awful candid reality shows. Sherri Shepherd, whom I generally dislike, will probably get an Guest Actress Emmy nomination out of the episode, especially since actors just love to mock the reality shows taking away jobs.

Several months ago, 30 Rock was renewed for next season, so even if ratings tanked against sports last week and next week, it's still one of NBC's few hits.

Different strokes for different folks, as Sly Stone used to say.

I agree with SanDiegoInExile - I thought the 'Queen of Jordan' episode was hilarious. Yes - the show broke format, but that's the beauty of 30 Rock - the writers and producers are willing to take chances. I didn't think the live episode they did last season was particularly great, but I appreciated their efforts.

Community was a little off it's best game, but still worth watching.
