3rd Annual Duel on the Diamond media softball game

The 3rd Annual “Duel on the Diamond,” will take place at the Agawam-Fynn field, 1600 Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence, RI (near Gregg’s Restaurant) on Saturday, June 18th. This charity softball game, featuring local television personalities against radio personalities, is open to the public so they can come out to cheer their favorite stars! First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 Noon. A $5 donation for entry into the game is requested, with all proceeds going to the children of A Wish Come True, Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts oldest wish granting organization.

Frank Carpano, Brian Crandall, Mark Searles, Joe Kayata - WJAR TV-10; John Deluca, Fred Campagna, Matt Lagor and Shahnee Lagor - WLNE TV-6; Mike Montecalvo, Susan Hogan, Kathryn Sotnik, Patrick Little, Pete Mangione and Ryan Machado - WPRI TV-12; John “Coach” Colletto – formerly of WPRO/The Score; Steve Scarpetti, 94 WHJY; Davey Morris and Jessica Schiano - 92 WPRO-FM; Brian Phillips, Samantha Cody, Cliff Ponte and Mark Ambrose - CAT Country – WCTK; Ron St. Pierre and Joe Lembo - 630 WPRO/Citadel; Bill George, Helen Glover and Kiki Glover, 920 WHJJ/Clear Channel; Scott Murphy and Steve Deschene, B101; Scott Gibbons, EASY 99.1 WPLM; Tony Bristol, LiteRock 105…with special guest home plate umpire, Steve Kass.
There will be a BIG raffle with tickets and prizes to win! The grill will be fired up and manned by the Tiverton Lions Club with plenty of food and beverages available for sale, plus musical entertainment will be provided by “Ronnie & The Satellites!” Come and enjoy an afternoon of fun, fellowship and maybe just a little bit of intensity in the competition – all for a great cause. In case you were wondering, TV topped radio 11-4, in the last year’s game!
A Wish Come True, Inc. grants wishes to medically-qualified local children age three through 18 who suffer from life threatening illnesses. Since 1982, more than 1200 local kids have been granted wishes
