3rd Down & 92.3 To Go

What In the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a goin' on with The Men In Secret Underwear's decision to yank DevilTalk from News 92~Three & Sports Parking Lot 6~20 Saturday afternoon? We got to hear the coach's reasons for the turd ASU dropped at Berkeley, but when it came to the fan's chance to vent, DevilTalk was sent to Sports Siberia 8~Sixty. Perhaps TMISU wanted their new FM listeners to hear more local talk by live voices? Hmmm...then why syndicated talker Monica Crowley and another rehash of Hugo Chavez at the UN?. Oh...Nurse Jeff and I get it now - DevilTalk with Coach Hugo! Maybe they don't realize there are thousands of Phoenix listeners (and some in Congress, too) who want to tell Coach Kotter what a fine job he did on the QB selection last month!

Memo to KT'R: Either lose that ASU instrumental bed with the old Kay~Tee~Ay~Are logo, or bring back Taz to run the station. He would have run DevilTalk on FM..and 6~twenty.

In a parallel universe, where KTAR FM aired the Devil Talk show instead of newstalk stuff after the game:

We wanted to hear that scintillating Toaster Talk, but instead Nurse Jeff nearly plotzed when the FM audience got to hear the coach's reasons for the turd ASU dropped at Berkeley. Why not let me deactivate the '76 Levi Gremlin's Barco FM converter, and put the fan's chance to vent on Sports Siberia 8~Sixty? I thought TMISU wanted their new FM listeners to hear more talk by live voices!

It's not like it was after the pattern switch so it was only wattage-challenged
and not wattage- and directionally-challenged.

The game itself was the overkill, being on three frequencies, however I know
TMISU want to treat 620 and 92.3 as one until January.

We'll just refer to KT'R and KT'R-FM as "Certs Radio"--with the slogan
"two, two, two freqs in one."

Good idea.

And the competition can be refered to "MONO-55."

Maybe: "The amazing AM, it was good enough technology for H.V. Kaltenborne."

or, "Five-Fifty-FM-less."

Or perhaps, TSFKAKOY: "The Station Formerly Known As KOY."
