3WS Sunday Diner is....different now

RD Summers' vision of the show was to spotlight pre-1964 records and "Pittsburgh only" specials. Tonight they played "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron" by the Royal Guardsmen.

RD would not approve.

RD must be very unhappy looking down from Heaven. The Diner is now music from 1955 through 1970. RD never would have played any British Invasion or mid '60's pop songs on the Diner when he was alive. I really have no problem with what is played on the Diner, only because that is now the only time 3WS plays music from the 1960's, which they really don't play much during the week any more. I just wish that the current Diner format is what would be played during the week as well. That is the kind of musical format I really enjoy, '50's & '60's. I guess I just better enjoy Sunday nights.

I would guess that the spirit of RD is visiting WLSW and WJPA, who do play 50s and early 60s at designated times.

3WS nowadays bears as much resemblance to pre-CC 3WS as the current Pirates bear to the 1979 team.

That is the best analogy! Nothing describes 3ws better! Good one corporateradiosux.
