4.8 quake reported in the New York city area

Earthquake centered near New York City rattles the Northeast. Yes this is unusual because areas outside the pacific ring of fire is not known to inform residents about regional faults that pose a risk. This is like the 2011 5.8 Virginia quake where it hit the entire East Coast Seaboard.

As I'm currently staying at a hotel near Parsippany-Troy Hills' suburbs with my family, I heard lots of buzz about the earthquake. One lady on the third floor said her TV fell. Nothing was damaged for me.
